Every year about this time, hundreds of Muslims and Hindus gather at India's Muslim Baba Umer Durga Shrine to drop their babies off the roof. The babies are shaken first and generally scream on the way down, where they're caught 50 feet below by parents holding bedsheets.
In most places this would bring charges of child abuse. But in India it's said to bring good health and prosperity to the parents.
The Gods must be crazy.
